Two deputies shot, one inmate killed at the Coffee County Courthouse
COFFEE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Coffee County Mayor's Office reported three people were shot Monday afternoon; two sheriff's deputies and one inmate.
The Mayor's office it happened at the courthouse at 300 Hillsboro Blvd.
One deputy was life-flighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. They mayor said the other deputy was taken to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. Their exact condition is unknown as of Monday afternoon.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said the deputies are with the Coffee County Sheriff's Office.
The TBI also said the suspect involved in the shooting, the inmate, has died.
TBI has agents on the way to Coffee County.
The Manchester Police Dispatch said there are a few road closures in the area around the courthouse.
