DICKSON, Tenn. (WZTV) — Iconic '90s superstar Luke Perry's ashes were scattered on his farm in Dickson County, Tennessee, family sources told TMZ on Friday.
Perry purchased the 380-acre land in Vanleer in the '90s and lived there on and off for more than 20 years.
Perry passed away on March 4 as a result of a massive stroke at a hospital in Burbank, California. The late actor's death certificate says he suffered from the stroke five days before his death.
TMZ reported that Perry's body was transported to Dickson, Tennessee, where his ashes were spread on Monday, March 11.
The 52-year-old had a farm in Vanleer. Neighbors say the star would come to his farm to catch a break from Los Angeles.
Perry was often spotted buying feed for his livestock in downtown Dickson or having dinner at Sisters Restaurant.
People in the small town told FOX 17 News they didn't know the actor too well, but say they will miss seeing him around.
Perry also gave back to the community during his time in middle Tennessee.
The actor paired with the Nashville non-profit "Soles4Souls" following the devastating 2010 floods.
On May 17, 2010, Perry helped Soles4Souls distribute water, shoes and food in the pouring rain.
"We distributed more than 1 million bottles of water and Gatorade, along with sandals, socks, food and clothing to those in need," Soles4Souls website said.
The organization shared photos of Perry on the day of his death earlier this month, mourning his loss.
"Remembering one of our favorite volunteers, Luke Perry," an Instagram story read. "May he rest in peace."
Perry was best known for his role as heartthrob Dylan Michael McKay on "Beverly Hills, 90210" and recent fame with "Riverdale."
