LEBANON, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Lebanon man critically shot on February 5th has died from his injuries.
Dagoberto Utera-Gonzalez, 47, was shot at 9 p.m. on Glengarry Drive near the intersection of Murfreesboro Pike. A Metro Police sergeant turned onto Glengarry Drive right after the shooting happened.
The officer noticed a man running from Utera-Gonzalez but stayed with the victim to provide first aid until an ambulance arrived. Utera-Gonzalez suffered gunshot wounds to his upper torso and leg.
He died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Thursday.
Metro Police detectives continue to look for leads and hope to identify the suspect responsible for Utera-Gonzalez's death.
