Kid Rock grants local mom's wish at Christmas parade
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) - Superstar Kid Rock has made one local mom very happy this Christmas.
Fan Amanda Rose Tidwell said all she wanted this year was a selfie with the star - and he made it come true, and then some.
Tidwell said she was disappointed when discovering Kid Rock wasn't going to be in the Nashville parade. The singer was slated to serve as the Grand Marshal before some controversial comments on Fox & Friends and backlash from city politicians.
But there was still hope for Tidwell - the mom traveled to Leiper's Fork this past weekend for the town's Christmas parade.
Tidwell's son and parents all held signs asking Kid Rock to take a selfie with the mom.
Not only did he do that, he accepted a Christmas card from Tidwell and gave her a smooch on the cheek.
"He will never know how much that meant to me," Tidwell told FOX 17 News.
Not only did Kid Rock make Christmas for this mom, he also brought joy to hundreds of families by paying off $81,000 in layaways at a Nashville Walmart.
