Kentucky Transportation Cabinet activates Snow and Ice Operations Center
As light snow hits parts of southern Kentucky, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet activated the Snow and Ice Operations Center for District Two.
Henderson County has reported sleet creating isolated icy spots, prompting seven trucks to spread salt.
Snow is starting to accumulate in Hancock County, bringing five trucks out to spread salt for the roads.
Officials say multiple other counties have supervisors out checking on road conditions.
Further west in KYTC District1, Crittenden County reported about 1 inch of snow accumulation on grassy areas with pavement starting to turn white. Marshall County crews were sent out to respond to reports of slush creating slick spots, particularly around the I-24/I-69 Interchange at Calvert City.
