Kentucky man pulls woman from burning vehicle
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WZTV) —
A Bowling Green woman is lucky to be alive after a good samaritan pulled her from a burning vehicle Wednesday morning.
The Warren County Sheriff's office was called to investigate a crash on Blue Level Road at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday. When deputies arrived, they saw a vehicle engulfed in flames.
Deputies said Johnny Lay of Bowling Green pulled the driver, Susan Stalker, from the burning vehicle and carried her to a safe location. Stalker was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The crash investigation continues, and officials believe speed was a factor in the collision. Authorities said Stalker was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
