Former Kentucky deputy accused of stealing $55 K from county foundation
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. —
The Kentucky State Police said a former Christian County deputy was accused of stealing more than $55,000 from the Christian County Juvenile Services Foundation.
According to the KSP, Steve Tucker was arrested on Friday and indicted for Theft by Unlawful Taking over $10,000.00.
The KSP received a complaint in November 2017 that Tucker had stolen several thousand dollars from the foundation. He previously served as the president for the foundation that works closely with juveniles criminally charged with drug offenses.
Tucker was a deputy in the Christian County Sheriff's Office. He resigned in early February. The KSP said his role as the foundation's president was not tied to his role as a deputy.
The KSP investigation estimates he stole more than $55,000 from the foundation over a seven-year period.
Tucker turned himself in and was booked into the Christian County Jail on Friday afternoon.
