Police: Teen 'mishandling gun' on Charlotte Pike shoots self in leg

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A teenager was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after police say they "mishandled a gun."

It happened just after lunchtime on Charlotte Pike. Metro Police tell FOX 17 News the 17-year-old victim was taken to St. Thomas West in serious to critical condition, then was transferred to the pediatric wing at Vanderbilt.
