NASHVILLE, Tenn.--J.E. Moss Elementary school has been placed on lockdown as a precaution.
Metro Police have set up a perimeter in the area as they search for a person(s) in a stolen vehicle in the area.
There have been no injuries in the area but Metro Police have deployed a helicopter in the area which is circling the school. The search is taking place on Richards Lane and Miners Cove.
According to police, the stolen vehicle was running with the keys in the ignition when it was stolen. The owner of the vehicle had GPS and informed police of the location. With the suspects near the school, police notified the school which prompted the precautionary lockdown.
Police say one juvenile has been arrested but the search continues for the other suspect.
Apollo Middle School, which is also in the area, is aware of the situation according to Metro Nashville Schools.
