Infant recovering at Nashville hospital after alleged assault by couple
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —
A Christian County, Kentucky couple is facing charges for allegedly abusing a 2-month-old baby.
WHOP reports Cassandra Hansley is facing assault charges and Cody Hansley is facing complicity to assault charges.
The baby was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where staff worked with Kentucky State Police to investigate the alleged assault. The baby is now listed in stable condition.
According to warrants obtained by WHOP, the child had "multiple brain hemorrhages, a lacerated liver, ruptured spleen, multiple broken ribs, a fractured wrist and a fractured femur."
Both are being held on $1 million bond at the Christian County Jail.
