Infant left in box at Bowling Green, Kentucky fire station
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- An infant has been dropped off at a fire station in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
A good Samaritan found the infant in a box at outside the Gott Fire Station on Porter Pike at around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office. The infant is alive and went to the hospital to be checked out.
Kentucky is a safe haven state. The law states that "you can leave a newborn baby, with any emergency medical services provider, police officer, firefighter, or any employee at any hospital. in Kentucky."
The age of the infant is unknown at this time.
