ICE bust at Dickson plant places 4 in custody
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —
Multiple people were taken into custody by ICE agents at a Dickson plant Wednesday morning.
According to a representative with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, special agents with the ICE Homeland Security Investigations executed a federal criminal search warrant at Jet Printing on Marshall Stuart Drive in Dickson.
Authorities said HSI arrested one person on criminal charges in connection to the investigation and took eight undocumented immigrants into custody for violation of federal immigration laws while executing the warrant. Five undocumented immigrants were released on orders of supervision, and three others remain in custody as of Wednesday night.
Identities of the individuals taken into custody and details about the nature of the investigation were not immediately released.
The Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition traveled to Dickson to interview possible impacted families. The organization urged affected relatives to call their line at 615-414-1030.
Officials said the case has been accepted for federal prosecution.
