Hendersonville student killed in car crash, funeral arrangements announced

The Hendersonville community is mourning the loss of a student who was killed in a car crash.

Coleman Midgett was killed in the wreck on Friday night, those close to the community tell Fox 17 News.

Midgett was a student at Beech High School.

"Coleman was well liked by his fellow students and his teachers and will be greatly missed," a statement from the schools said.

Extra counselors will be on hand to help students cope with their loss.

Two other Sumner County students were injured in the crash. There's no word on their conditions.

According to Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home, visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home and again from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Long Hollow Baptist Church. The hour of service will start at 1 p.m. and interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville.
