Suspected Hendersonville bank robber arrested in Georgia

UPDATE: Hendersonville Police said a suspected bank robber has been captured in Georgia.

David Chamjok, 22, is accused of robbing Capitol Bank on Dec. 6.

Police said he was arrested on Tuesday in the Stone Mountain area of Georgia.

Chamjok is being held in Georgia waiting to be extradited back to Sumner County, Tenn.


Hendersonville Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they said robbed a bank in a high traffic area along Indian Lake Blvd.

Police said Capitol Bank was robbed at about 4 p.m. Wednesday.

A man approached a clerk, communicated that he had a gun, and demanded money -- although no weapon was seen.

The robber is described as a tall black man who was last seen running east through the parking lot of Publix. A sketch has since been released.
