Heavy rain expected for Middle Tennessee and S. Kentucky through Tuesday
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Rain showers will begin in the early hours Sunday morning for Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky with heavier rain to follow.
FOX 17 News Meteorologist Colleen Mehlberg says the area could see 2-4 inches by Tuesday and that's on top of the rain we saw last week.
A Flood Watch remain in effect until 12 p.m. Tuesday.
Heaviest rain totals are still expected to be in our far NW counties.
Ponding on roads will cause slow travel for some and low lying areas will most the most susceptible to flooding.
Tennessee Valley Authority is monitoring the water levels at Percy Priest Lake, they tell Fox 17 News, Water release schedules can change without notice due to unanticipated weather changes.
