The Frist Art Museum will open a special exhibit marking the 10-year anniversary of the Nashville flood on Friday.

"The Nashville Flood: Ten Years Later" will commemorate the city's historic natural disaster of 2010. The exhibition will be on view at the free Conte Community Arts Gallery from January 10 through May 17, 2020. The exhibition will present a picture of both the destruction and relief efforts from 10 different neighborhoods in Davidson County including Antioch, Belle Meade, Bellevue, Bordeau and others through photographs and excerpts of oral history.

The exhibit will begin with a public program held on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in which residents can share personal stories about the flood. Nashville Public Library's Special Collections Division will be recording oral histories during the public program.
