Former Tennessee jail deputy charged with misconduct, sexual contact with inmate
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.--A former Montgomery County jail deputy has been indicted for official misconduct and sexual contact with an inmate.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office reports 50-year-old Dale Tuel was arrested an February 9th on the charges.
Sheriff John Fuson says evidence led to Tuel's termination and indictment.
“As soon as the allegations were made against Tuel, we followed our established procedure by placing him on administrative leave and began an internal investigation,” said Sheriff Fuson. “At the conclusion of the investigation, evidence warranted termination and our findings were presented to the grand jury.”
Tuel was placed in the Montgomery County Jail on $25,000 bond.
