Nashville Christmas Parade details released, former Preds Mike Fisher named Grand Marshal

Former Predators Captain Mike Fisher has been named the Grand Marshal of this year's Nashville Christmas Parade.

The announcement was made Tuesday at Monroe Carell Jr's Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

"A veteran of 17 NHL seasons and more than 1,000 games, Mike Fisher’s class, work ethic, and commitment to his family, his faith and the community has made him the gold standard for professional athletes in the 21st century." - Nashville Christmas Parade statement on Mike Fisher.

The 64th annual Piedmont Natural Gas Nashville Christmas Parade is slated for 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 2.

The lineup includes Adairs Run, Benita Washington, EVIN, Halfway to Hazard, Jessica Baeder, Josh Gallagher, MARi, Rachel Potter, Temecula Road and Ty Herndon.

The parade is set to begin at the intersection of North First Avenue and Brandon Street. It will travel south towards Broadway, where it will turn right onto Broadway and end at North Eighth Avenue & Broadway.
