All-clear given at Nashville elementary school after roll of toilet paper catches fire

UPDATE: All students have been let back inside after a report of a fire at KIPP Kirkpatrick Elementary.

Officials said a roll of toilet paper apparently caught fire, leading to the evacuation.

The all-clear has been given.


The Nashville Fire Department is responding to a reported fire at KIPP Kirkpatrick Elementary.

The fire was reported at 1000 Sevier Street Friday morning.

The building is being evacuated.

Metro Communications confirmed the fire report came from the Kindergarten floor.

FOX 17 News has a crew headed to the scene and will be providing updates.
