Death of electrical worker ruled accidental
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —
A lineman has died from his injuries after working on power lines in South Nashville on Thursday afternoon.
NES said the incident happened at 1 p.m. while the contract employee for the Davis H. Elliott Company was repairing power lines on Nolensville Pike. Metro Police have identified the worker as Greg A. Turner, 27, of Anniston, Alabama.
Turner was reportedly working on an electrical pole in the 2900 block of Nolensville Pike when he made contact with a live wire. He was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he died.
Officials classified the death as accidental.
NES said their thoughts and prayers are with the lineman's family.
