Robertson County deputies said they found suspected meth and acid during a traffic stop of burglary suspects.

Robert Janke, 35, of Hendersonville and Chase Sherman, 22, of Pleasant View were both arrested after the traffic stop on Wednesday.

RCSO deputies were responding to a robbery in progress at a home along Highway 161 when they spotted the suspected vehicle involved in the crime near Springfield.

Police stopped the vehicle and found burglary tools, suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, several non-prescribed pills, and Schedule 1 acid. Officers said a .22 caliber pistol was later found near the site of the traffic stop along Highway 161.

Both suspects are facing multiple drugs and burglary charges and are being held in in the Robertson County Detention Facility.
