Driver identified after deadly Brentwood crash

Brentwood Police said a driver has died from injuries sustained in a crash Monday evening.

It happened about 5:25 p.m. at the intersection of Wilson Pike at Carondelet Place. Police said John Holladay, 70, died at the hospital from his injuries in the crash.

Police said it appears a pickup truck driven by Holladay hit a car while it was trying to take a left turn at the intersection. The passenger of the car suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he later died.

Wilson Pike was closed for three hours as police investigated the crash.
