Several men involved in a drug trafficking operation based out of Detroit were busted with having heroin and pills near a daycare center and park in Goodlettsville.

Devin Parker, Deon Garrett, Immanuel Garrett and Jayluan Culp are facing a slew of charges in Thursday’s incident, including theft and possession with intent to deliver. Deon Garrett was also a wanted felon.

Detectives from the 19th Judicial Task Force said they’d been conducting surveillance on the suspects for about two months. Detectives said they are known to frequent the Goodlettsville and Nashville areas, hopping from motel to motel to conduct business.

On Thursday, agents spotted the men in a stolen vehicle out of Michigan, approached the suspects and took each of them into custody. This happened within 1,000 feet f Metro Baptists Church Daycare and North Creek Park, which are both drug free zones.

An affidavit said 111 Oxymorphone pills, 12.5 grams of heroin and $5,000 in cash was found inside the vehicle.

Drug Task Force agents are urging residents to report suspicious activity, especially in areas of motels were drug transactions are known to take place. Call in tips to 615-451-6021.
