The Hendersonville Police Department (HPD) is investigating the murder of a 21-year-old found in the front yard of a Cole Court Home on Wednesday.
Police say Mark McCord Jr. was found in the front yard of a home on the 100 block of Cole Court Wednesday afternoon suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was transported to the hospital but later died from the shooting. According to police, three people fled on foot to a getaway driver parked a few blocks away. Officers were able to follow the vehicle, giving chase into the Nashville area where the car stopped.
Two of the suspects fled on foot but three of the four individuals were captured. Police say 21-year-old Quentin Taylor and 20-year-old Dominic Smith are now facing murder charges while 26-year-old Indyja Mitchell faces charges of evading and driving without a license.
A fourth suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Woodrow Sales Jr. of Nashville. He is wanted for first degree murder and evading arrest.
This is an ongoing investigation.
