SMYRNA, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Nissan facility in Smyrna will be shut down for two weeks after a Malaysia-based supplier reported an outbreak of new COVID-19 cases.
Now, Nissan is adjusting its North American production schedule. The shut down in Middle Tennessee is slated for the weeks of August 16 and August 23, a spokesperson tells FOX 17 News.
"We continue to work closely with our supplier partners to assess the impact of supply chain issues and minimize disruption for vehicle deliveries to our dealers and customers," Nissan's Corporate Communications Manager Lloryn Love-Carter said.
