Columbia PD searching for wanted man as 2-year-old boy suffers life threatening injuries

The Columbia Police Department is searching for a man wanted on child neglect charges as a 2-year-old remains in critical condition with life threatening injuries at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

Officers responded with emergency medical personnel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on reports of a child found unresponsive. The boy was transported to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

As a result of the investigation, authorities are now trying to find Timothy Lee Brooks, Jr. He is wanted by the Columbia Police Department on a charge of aggravated child neglect.

Brooks, Jr., 26, stands at 6 feet and weighs 220 lbs and has brown hair and brown eyes.
