CODE RED: Winter Storm Warning in effect for Trigg, Christian and Todd counties

    NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A Winter Weather Advisory has been extended to include locations around Clarksville, Dover, and Erin Tennessee.

    A wintry mix will be possible for those areas as well as Robertson and Sumner counties as early as 8 p.m. Friday. Trigg, Christian and Todd counties in southern Kentucky were upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning Friday night until 3 a.m. Saturday.

    Light ice accumulation is possible but could create slick conditions. It will also be possible to see some sleet and snow with little accumulation.

    Up to 1” of snow is possible on top of the ice (mainly in southern KY) and the areas under the advisory in Tennessee could see a dusting. Areas in S. KY could start seeing impact as early as 5pm.

    The current Winter Weather Advisory runs until 3 a.m. Saturday morning.
