Clarksville man jailed after pulling knife on jogger complaining about pit bull

Jonathan Humphrey-Clarksville Police

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.--Clarksville Police have caught up with a man wanted for pulling a knife on a jogger last month.

Police say on November 7th, a jogger got into an argument with Jonathan Ray Humphrey after Humphrey's pit bull was of a leash and was running towards the jogger. Police say Humphrey pulled out a large knife and walked at the jogger, putting him in fear for his safety.

The jogger ran into a convenience store for help and was followed by Humphrey, who yelled profanities at the man and then left.

On Wednesday, police found Humphrey in a car with four other people in front of a Cherry Tree Drive residence. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
