SPRINGFIELD, Tenn.--The Robertson County Sheriff's Office has charged a man in the cold case 2003 murder of Teresa Peden of Cedar Hill.
Police say her husband, Clinton Eugene Peden has been indicted for her murder and was arrested today. Investigators solved the case after developing information on another crime he was responsible for. In that case, Peden allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl.
Police say his wife Teresa found out and planned to turn her husband into police. Investigators say that was the motive for her murder.
Peden was indicted last month on the rape charges.
Teresa Peden was found stabbed to death in July 2006.
