Build-A-Bear stops accepting guests for 'Pay Your Age Day' due to safety concerns

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Due to safety concerns, Build-A-Bear events will no longer accept more people for 'Pay Your Age Day.'

According to the company website, local authorities made the call to stop accepting guests at stores "due to crowd and safety concerns."

The full statement reads:

"Important Update - Pay Your Age Day

July 12, 2018

Per local authorities, we cannot accept additional Guests at our U.S. Build-A-Bear Workshop locations due to crowd and safety concerns

We have closed lines in our U.S. stores. We understand some of our Guests are disappointed and we will reach out directly as soon as possible."

Middle Tennessee has Build-A-Bear locations at the Opry Mills and Cool Springs Galleria malls.
