Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee staff have come together to honor Derrick Henry's return by donating $22 each to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee.

BGCMT says that their staff is looking forward to the upcoming game between the Tennessee Titans and the Cincinnati Bengals and decided to celebrate the upcoming NFL playoff by donating money in honor of Derrick Henry's return to the field. They decided to donate $22 dollars because Henry is #22, and he will be back on the field on January 22, 2022. It has also been 22 years since the Tennessee Titans last made a Super Bowl appearance.

"We wanted to do something special to celebrate Derrick Henry because he has done so much for our youth, so the BGCMT staff and key supporters decided to donate $22 for the occasion,” said Jennifer Wheeler Buhrman, chief development officer of BGCMT. “Henry has been so generous to Boys & Girls Clubs, and this felt like a way to honor both the man and the player.”

BGCMT says that Henry has often shared that he once attended a Boys and Girls Club and always been supportive of the organization. Henry says of the organization "they have your best interest at heart.” BGCMT is encouraging everyone to make a donation in honor of Henry's return.

If you would like to join in the celebration you can also donate to BGCMT here.
