Body of missing Ft. Campbell soldier found on Kentucky Lake

The body of a missing Ft. Campbell soldier has been found.

According to Lyon County, Ky. officials, the soldier's body was found Monday morning near mile marker 30 on Kentucky Lake, near the Tennessee River at Twin Lakes.

The body was found by Marshall County divers and turned over the to Lyon County Coroner. The name of the solider has not yet been released pending official condolences to the family.

A search started for the missing soldier after he was last seen tubing behind a pontoon boat near Lake City at around 5 p.m. on Friday.

Several agencies were involved in the search including the Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Paducah, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, Lyon County Rescue, Lyon County Emergency Management, Marshall County Rescue and the McCracken County Rescue.

Officials are asking to keep his family in your prayers.
