PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WZTV) — An adorable eaglet has just hatched at Dollywood's Eagle Mountain Sanctuary.
American Eagle Foundation told FOX 17 News that the eaglet hatched at abut 6:58 a.m. Wednesday morning and has already been winning the hearts of live viewers.
Bald Eagles Grant and Glenda are parents to the new eaglet. Both are permanently disabled and non-releasable.
The sanctuary is nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains, right along the theme park in Pigeon Forge. It hosts disabled Eagles that would not be able to survive in the wild.
