ELKTON, Ky. (WZTV) — A man has been arrested after his fifth DUI in Elkton, Kentucky.
The Elkton Police Department says that they conducted a traffic stop Sunday on a black Ford Ranger on West Main Street after the vehicle was observed crossing the center line multiple times.
The operator, 39 year old Christopher Wasson of Elkton, was found to have a DUI suspended license.
After a standard field sobriety test was completed, police determined Wasson was also under the influence making this his fifth offense of a DUI in 10 years.
Wasson was arrested and charged with reckless driving, operating motor vehicle under the influence (fourth offense or greater with aggravating circumstance), driving on a DUI suspended license (third offense aggravating circumstance), failure of owner to maintain Insurance (second offense), possession of open alcohol container in motor vehicle prohibited, and no registration plates.
