14-year-old charged after assaulting school bus driver, Metro Police say

A 14-year-old has been charged after police say he assaulted a school bus driver Tuesday morning.

The incident happened along Richards Drive and Lori Drive in Antioch, about a half mile away from J.E. Moss Elementary School. Metro Schools say the bus was for Spectrum Academy.

Police on scene said the young teen physically assaulted the bus driver and intimidated the bus monitor. He's being charged with two counts of assault.

The teen was taken away from the school bus in a patrol car.

The bus driver is Okay.
