14-year-old arrested in Thompson Lane armed robbery
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —
A 14-year-old was arrested Wednesday night in connection to a Saturday night armed robbery of a 32-year-old woman in a Thompson Lane parking lot.
Metro Police say the victim was walking in the parking lot at 6 p.m. Saturday when a young man and a young woman approached her. The young man, now identified by police as the 14-year-old, allegedly pulled a pistol and demanded the woman's belongings.
Officers say a teen girl with the 14-year-old hit the woman in the face and grabbed her purse.
The investigation led detectives to Knollcrest Apartments on Creekwood Drive Wednesday night. While there, investigators found the 14-year-old with the victim's cell phone. The teen later confessed to the robbery during an interview.
A robbery charge is forthcoming against the teen's accomplice.
