NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A new 13 acre development spanning 1.3 million square feet in Nashville is set to begin construction near the Cumberland River next year.
The announcement was made official by Mayor David Briley and developers on Monday morning. According to the announcement, the new construction will be called River North, located across from Germantown on the East Bank of the Cumberland River.
The first phase of building will include 600 multifamily units, 85,000 square feet of retail space, and 50,000 square feet of creative office space. The second phase will add over 500 more multifamily units and another 50,000 square feet of retail space.
The project will also include a public riverfront park connecting to the existing greenway system.
