FERRIER FILES: Battle of the Bathrooms in Nashville

(Fox 17 News)

A Nashville restaurant bathroom has been nominated as the best bathroom in America.

Sinema Restaurant was very intentional in building a bathroom that would invite photographs.

In fact, on top of the bathroom mirror reads, #Sinemaselfie.

“When you come in here you get that flashback 1940s era of glamour like the old movie stars and I think every female and male wants to feel glamorous,” Sinema marketing director Carly Houison said.

Go to Instagram and you will see hundreds of selfies.

Batchelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and her pick Shawn Booth have taken pictures here. Country music artist Kacey Musgraves has shot an album cover here.

"It sparkles, it dazzles, its comforting, its comfortable you can hang out in here fit large groups what else do you want from a restroom,” laughed Houison.

As great as it is there is competition.

The Hermitage Hotel’s 1930's Art Deco men's room at the Hermitage Hotel is a classic.

Rumor has it, both JFK and Elvis got shoeshines here.

“Honestly people walk in here and they think this is the most amazing classy restroom they have ever seen," Libby Oellerich of the Hermitage Hotel said. "And it is old Nashville, a miracle it is still here and we celebrate it.”

Both Jack White and Alan Jackson have shot album material in that restroom.

During Fox 17's one-hour shoot at the Hermitage, at least a dozen people came in with cameras.

“This was on our list,” Terry Jenks from Indiana said. “Wow, wow! It is awesome."

If you go by social media -- you have to go with Sinema.

But, The Hermitage is flush with history.

Visit them both and decide for yourself.

The CINTAS best bathroom in America winner will be announced November 16th.
