A Kanawha County doctor says she's tested positive twice for the swine flu, but health department officials have their doubts.

Pediatrician Debra Parsons just opened Kid Care West in Cross Lanes a few weeks ago, and already she says her office has been flooded because of swine flu fears.

In August, Parsons fell ill and was tested for H1N1. She says her tests came back positive.
Then in October Dr. Parsons got sick again with similar symptoms.

An H1N1 test came back positive once again.

Doctor Rahul Gupta, the director of the Kanawha Charleston Health Department disagrees. He says it's possible Dr. Parsons had the swine flu once but not twice. He says there are several types of H1N1 viruses and that Parsons did not produce documentation from the CDC stating she contracted the swine flu specifically. He believes Parsons may have had the seasonal flu the second time she got sick.

Dr. Gupta says there is no scientific data to support that any individuals have had the 2009 swine flu twice.
Parsons says because of the rarity of the situation she says further testing is being done at the state lab.WV Doctor Says She's Had Swine Flu Twice!
