South Nashville Little League
came out on top against Virginia, and the team is now headed to the World Series.

Pitcher, Robert Hassell and his team were cheered on across the country as they played in Georgia tonight. His aunt, Jenny Hassell and other relatives that could not make it to the Southeast Regional Championship game, watched at Cross Corner Bar and Grill in Brentwood.

Jenny Hassell says,"I'm fired up they're on ESPN. I texted him and told him 'Go Boy. In the end it's just a game, but bring the heat and he's like alright I'm calm'. I've been psyched up all day long."

More than 3,500 other fans are just as excited on social media. Luke Bryan posted a video on Youtube, rooting the 11 and 12-year-old boys on.

Robert's grandmother, Winifred Hassell says, " We've just had excellent community support from fans and businesses, so it's fabulous. It's a great organization."

Jenny Hassell says, " It  kind of bonds the community together because they have a common team to root for like  the Titans or Predators. This is the only little league team left. So we're fired up."

South Nashville is headed to Williamsport, PA for the Little League Baseball World Series which starts August 14.
