NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A south Nashville homeowner is recovering after being shot in a home invasion.

Three men attempted to get into a 60-year-old man's house on Foxglove Drive at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. One of the suspects fired a gun, hitting the homeowner in the calf.

The victim went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Metro Police Captain Jason Starling says,  "Precautions I would take is anytime you get a knock at your door, if you have a peephole or a window, it's always a good idea to look and find out what's going on before just opening it to somebody."

Anyone with information can call police at 862-8600.
