Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Man Stabs Girlfriend in Head in N. Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A man is in arrested this morning after stabbing his girlfriend in the head in north Nashville.

The domestic altercation occurred outside a thrift store on the 2800 block of Dickerson Pike around 11 p.m. Monday. The suspect jumped on the victim and began stabbing her in the head after an earlier argument, according to Metro police.

The victim's injuries are considered non-life threatening. A friend of the victim pushed the suspect off and took her to a relative's house on Alhambra Circle where they called police.

The suspect is in Davidson County Jail, charged with aggravated assault.
