Warren County High School Placed on Lockdown After Student Found With Gun in Lock Box

UPDATE (1:11pm): Warren County Sheriff Chief Investigator Marc Martin has confirmed that a 17 year old Warren County High School Junior has been charged with Illegal Possession of a Weapon on school grounds. The student was detained after two other students told a SRO officer about the gun. Martin says the student tried hiding the gun, but police found the loaded 22-cailber handgun in an unlocked wooden box in one of the school's locker rooms. The school was locked down during the search, but is open now. Martin says the student is in state custody pending his court date on Monday. He says investigators are still trying to determine why the student brought the loaded weapon to school.
