Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

UPDATED: Clarksville Child Dead After Accidentally Shooting Self

UPDATE: The name of the 4-year-old child who accidentally shot himself earlier this week in Clarksville has been released. Eldin James Rogers has been identified as the victim in this incident. According to Clarksville Police, the investigation is still under investigation. 

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- A child is dead in Clarksville after an accidental shooting.

The 4-year-old child on Arthurs Court got a hold of a loaded handgun just before 6 p.m. Sunday and shot himself in the chest accidentally, according to Clarksville Police. He died after being transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
