Estranged Wife Arrested for Arson in South Nashville House Fire Identified

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A woman is arrested after setting her estranged husband's south Nashville house on fire overnight.

Jeanet Covington, 39, is charged with arson after witnesses report seeing her throw something at the house on Fain Street, before it caught fire. The fire department responded to heavy smoke around midnight Thursday.

One person went to Baptist hospital with smoke inhalation. Red Cross assisted the displaced residents of the damaged home.

Two residents from the home were arrested on domestic violence charges Wednesday, according to Metro police.

Bond for Covington is set at $150,000.
