A local art group is collecting the faces of Music City.

Its called Our Town Nashville and its a year-long public art project put on by the Metro Nashville Arts Commission. The goal is to gather a collection of portraits of Nashville through the eyes and art of the all the different kinds of people who live here.

Weve been everywhere from homeless camps to private schools, said group leader Bryce McCloud. We even went to death row.

Our Town Nashville travels on mobile art cart and gives people paper and rubber stamps so they can create their self-portrait. Its then filed until the project until the group uses them to make massive public art pieces throughout Nashville.

As its grown we now have art work from all different kinds of Nashvillians, McCloud said. We just really want to capture what it is that makes up the city.
