Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

'American Idol' Hopefuls Sing Heart Out at Auditions -- Mikayla Lewis

Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5am and News at 9pm.

Nearly 4,000 people came to Nashville's Municipal Auditorium in hopes of becoming the next American Idol today.

Idol hopefuls started lining up before 3 A.M.. Before singing, people waited in line and filled out paper work for several hours. People auditioned for the show's producers.

The portion that did make it through the first round, will go on to sing for the executive producers tomorrow.

Starting next week, the celebrity judges: Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. will be back this year for Season 14, which premiers in January.
