NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Shots are fired after a north Nashville pizza business and employee are robbed.

A suspect held-up an employee of Express Pizza & Gyros at the 1700 block of Jefferson Street at around 1:30 a.m., as 2-3 other suspects robbed the business inside, according to Metro police.

The employee outside followed the suspects when they took off in a car. The suspects fired a gun at the victim, then dumped the car on Knowles Street and ran away on foot.

No suspects are known or have been caught at this time, say police. The suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts that were cinched closed covering their faces.

Anyone with information is urged to call police at 862-8600.
