NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A man gets charged with a DUI after crashing into a hotel in reverse, then hitting a tree head-on.

Metro police were called to the Suburban Extended Stay, 3910 Central Pike, yesterday after a car ran into the building, knocking down the wall into a room. The driver also hit a tree.

Patrick Nash, 55, tells police that he drank a half pint of whiskey before the crash. A witness states Nash was the only occupant in the car during the crash.

Nash, who received only minor injuries in the accident, has six previous DUI convictions from 2004 - 2012.
