Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5am and News at 9pm.

A 16-year-old Dickson boy was killed Thursday when his vehicle collided with a truck in Dickson, according to the Dickson Police Department.

Marvin Andrew Morton, 16, of Dickson, was out mowing yards for his summer job and towing a utility trailer with a mower on it when the accident happened. He was going south on HWY 46 on the right hand lane when truck being driven by Daniel Maupin, 31, of Pikeville, was travelling north and turned left on Livestock Drive.

The vehicles collided.

Maupin, who is with Prime Trucking, was cited at the scene for failure to yield.

The investigation was still ongoing, and police said there was no reason to suspect alcohol played a factor with either driver.
